What is Modified Bitumen? |
Hot bitumen is mixed with aggregates, fillers and additives to create a range of surface suited for their individual requirements. In asphalt production bitumen plays a key role. The properties of paving bitumen and bituminous mixes can be improved by addition of certain additives or blends of additives. These additives are called "Bitumen Modifiers" and the bitumen premixed with these modifies is known as "Modified Bitumen". |
